As children of God we, by virtue of our calling, are responsible to fill our place in
the ministry and mission to bring those that we come in contact with into a
relationship with God through His son Jesus Christ.

 

  The Great Commission, given by Jesus Christ to His disciples, has passed on to us,
His representatives on earth today. We are commissioned to go and make disciples
of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the
Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey all He has commanded us. This is the core of
our function in our service to Him. As the one who has been called to channel all
of the talents of His servants here and those who will join us along the way, I
realize that with His guidance, His providence and His protection, and with our
willingness to work, there is nothing we cannot achieve.

 

  God has put us together at Evangel Temple to unite our talents to achieve great
things for His glory. I intend to seek out and utilize the abilities with which He has
provided us to bring others to know Him, to bring them into the church to
strengthen our forces, thereby increasing our ability to bring more to know Him
and to enhance the lives of our congregation, residents of our community and all
we have the opportunity to influence.

 

  Evangel Temple must become a diverse, multi-cultural, multi-racial congregation
that worships in a place with a body of believers that caters to all areas of the
individual and family life, not only spiritually, but also in areas of health, finance,
employment and cultural enrichment. The children, youth, adults and elderly of our
church and community must find this a place that is desirable for them to come and
worship in an atmosphere that is conducive to that purpose. They must also be able
to come and find their weekdays or evenings fulfilling and inspiring.

 

We can achieve these goals by making use of the abilities that God has blessed us
with as a congregation. As we serve His people, be assured that others, both with
similar and different talents will be added, giving us an expanded reach and a
dynamic ministry.
